SmartCart – Data Deletion Policy
At SmartCart, we respect your privacy and give you full control over your data. If you would like to request that your account and data be deleted, please follow the steps below.
How to Request Data Deletion
To request deletion of your account and associated data, please send an email to:

In your request, include the email address associated with your SmartCart account so we can identify and process your request.
What Data Will Be Deleted
When we process your deletion request, the following data will be permanently deleted from our systems:
- Account information (name, household details, preferences)
- Scanned receipt data (purchases, shelf life tracking, nutrition insights)
- Recipe recommendations linked to your profile
Data That Is Retained
- User email addresses and details are encrypted and not accessible to us directly.
- For security, legal, or fraud-prevention purposes, we may retain certain data (such as anonymized logs) for up to 30 days after deletion, after which it is permanently removed.
Confirmation of Deletion
Once your request is completed, we will notify you by email to confirm that your account and personal data have been deleted.
